Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the CTDL website and practice application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The service

CTDL provides an online practice environment for translation exam preparation, including practice texts, AI-generated grading and feedback, review tools and progress tracking (the "Service"). The Service is operated by CTDL ("we", "us").

CTDL is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NAATI or any other examining body, and nothing in the Service is an official assessment or a guarantee of any exam result.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

3. Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree not to:

  • upload content you do not have the right to use, or that is unlawful or harmful;
  • attempt to access other users' data or disrupt, probe or overload the Service;
  • scrape, resell or redistribute the Service or its content without our written permission;
  • use automated means to create accounts or submit content.

4. AI-generated content

Scores, error lists, reference translations, explanations and generated practice texts are produced with the help of AI models. They may be incomplete or wrong and are provided for practice only. Use your own judgment and official sources for exam decisions.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the translations and other content you submit. You grant us a licence to store, process and display that content as needed to operate the Service for you, including sending it to AI model providers to generate your grading and feedback.

6. Our content

The Service, its software, design and the practice materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for your personal exam preparation while your account is active.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new date.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for exam outcomes. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.

9. Ending your use

You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

10. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent through the contact page.
